Full Tilt Poker’s Million VIII was in London this past weekend, and the winner won his first major title as a poker player. Familiar face James Akenhead finally won his first major title after going deep in other big tournaments. Akenhead finished 9th in the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe, and he took 2nd in a WSOP No-Limit Hold’em event. First place prize for the event was $500,000, and you know it’s a good day when six figures are involved. Akenhead went heads up against Juha Helppi after going through a final table holding Dan Mikkelsen, Luke Schwartz, Craig Wakeham, Peter Vasiliou, and Taylor Caby.
