Poker in the United States is safe…for now. The ‘Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was pushed back from December 1st until June 1, 2010. The Poker Players’ Alliance petition paid off and we can only hope that our voices will continue to be heard. The UIGEA was going to make it illegal for players to make outgoing transactions from their U.S. bank to online gambling sites. There are plenty of online gambling websites out there today but there are only a handful that allow the U.S. player. Thursday, Internet poker will be the topic of discussion as there will be a committee hearing on Capitol Hill.
