The PokerStars EPT Warsaw got underway and the day ended with Carter Phillips holding the chip lead. I don’t want to jinx Mr. Phillips but it’s rare to see a player go ‘wire to wire’ throughout the course of a poker tournament. Now that I have said that Carter has to be feeling good about his first day play and fortunate enough to walk away with an early chip lead. Carter will have to wait until Thursday (October 22nd) when the players return to the felt to start Day 2. I’m sure he won’t mind a day off to sit on his chip lead stack.
