David ‘Chip’ Reese was born in 1951. He moved to Arizona at the age of eighteen to read Finance at Dartmouth College. Apart from being a gifted student, Reese was also a keen footballer and member of the debate. Moreover, he turned out to be an extremely talented poker player, beating his co-students and even professors with ease. He was member of Beta House, where they later on named the poker room after him David E. Reese Memorial Card Room. After his graduation, Reese got accepted at Stanford Business School, but he decided on a career as professional poker player instead after he managed to win $ 40,000 at a tournament in Las Vegas, which he never left. He even hired someone to collect his stuff from his old apartment and drive his car to Las Vegas. By the time he was supposed to attend his first lecture at Stanford, Reese had already managed to win $ 100,000.

Sam Farha was born as Ishan Farha in Beirut, Lebanon in 1959. As a teenager he and his family had to flee to the United States because of the civil war in his home country. They settled down in Wichita, Kansas and in 1977 he enrolled in a Business Administration course at Kansas University. After graduating Farha moved to Houston, Texas to work for his brother. There Farha soon became hooked on poker and within a year after relocating to Texas he managed to win thousands of Dollars.
In 1990 Farha quit his job at his brother’s company and he became professional poker player. He gave his best performance at the 2003 main event of World Series of Poker, where he game in second after Chris Moneymaker and cashed £1.300.000. That achievement was a mere miracle

Phil Ivey is often regarded as world’s best all-around poker player of today. His nickname is The Tiger Woods of Poker.
Ivery was born in 1976 in California, but moved to New Jersey when he was still a baby. In the late nineties he became hooked to poker when he played against his co-workers at the telemarketing firm where he used to work. His talent was very obvious and soon he became a professional poker player.
Up until now, Iverey has won eight bracelets at the World Series of Poker. In 2000 and 2005 he also received bracelets in Pot Limit Omaha. He always plays his best game at the WSOP main event. Between 2002 and 2009 he managed to gain a spot in the top 25 at least four times. In 2010 he received most votes at the Tournament of Champions.
