Every poker player is aware of the European Poker Tour, the World Poker Tour, and of course the World Series of Poker in which the final table is set to resume play come November. Well one set of tournaments that one may not know of is the Baltic Festival which is being brought to us by PokerStars (surprise, surprise eh). The PokerStars Baltic Festival main event is set to take place between October 28th and October 31st at the luxurious Swissotel in Tallinn, Estonia. Along with the main event the Baltic Festival will be holding cash games, Sit n Gos, and other various events.

The Baltic Festival main event will be a €1,100 buy in and the ‘stars’ will be on hand for this big event. PokerStars pros that are already registered to play consist of Johnny Lodden, William Thorson, the reigning World Series of Poker main event champion Peter Eastgate, and not to forget the former National Hockey League star Mats Sundin. Day 1A will start October 28th and the tournament will be capped at the first 250 to enter the tournament. Day 2A will start on the 29th and will be under the same cap rules as Day 1A but there will be a ‘Super Satellite’ being held (28th) for those who choose to go that route.

Along with the main event taking place the Baltic Festival (as already mentioned) will feature cash games, Sit n Gos, and other events. The other events being held at the festival consist of a ‘Turbo No-Limit Hold’em’ event (€100+10-Cap 100), a No Limit Hold’em event (€400+40-Cap 150), and the Baltic Festival High Roller event (€10,000+600-No Cap). Two professional poker players that are already register for the high roller event is Tony G and once again Mr. Peter Eastgate as the tournament is to begin October 30th.

As an extra incentive PokerStars will be offering a last longer in the main event and only PokerStars representatives will have the opportunity to partake. All a player has to do is wear the PokerStars logo (even if you didn’t satellite though them) and sign the PokerStars waiver and you will eligible to win a $15,000 package. Within this package the winner will find a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2010 Main Event buy in, an 8 night stay at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino Resort, ‘food credit’, and money for some expenses. All you have to do is wear the Stars logo and outlast anyone and everyone that is doing exactly what you are doing.

In order to compete in the Baltic Festival players must register with the Olympic Casino to obtain a casino card. To obtain said card players must show an issued photo ID (PokerStars recommends your passport). You must show this card every time you enter the poker area which will be held on the 6th floor of this luxury casino. The poker play is set to begin at 12:00 on the 28th so good luck to all of those who will be competing this year’s PokerStars Baltic Festival. Dress code is casual.
